About Our Summer Programs

Ogden School District is pleased to join with the Ogden School Foundation and Weber County R.A.M.P. to offer programs that make summer fun while keeping students engaged in learning and discovery. Here you will find information on programs offered directly from the District as well as many of our partner programs. We also have information about our free summer meals program.

All parents or guardians who wish to enroll a student in a summer camp must complete the entire online registration form. Payment of camp fees MUST be collected on the first day of camp. Payments may be made with cash or credit/debit card. No checks will be accepted. *(Todos los padres y/o tutores, que deseen inscribir a su estudiante a cualquiera de los campamentos de verano, deberán completar el formulario de inscripción. Theatre Masks

Advanced Theatre Program, 2nd-12th grade
(this camp is full)

Students will explore and experience the various elements of show production (e.g. acting, blocking, and technical stage crew). They will run a full production of “Lord of the Swings". This original script is full of humor, knights, pirates, and a magical horde of stuffed animals commanded by a vengeful princess. A wide-range of community members will support the production—including expert directors, choreographer, technical crew, costumer, stage crew, makeup designer, and set designer.

Astro Camp at Odyssey Elementary, ages 5-15

Ballet Folklorico, K-6th grade

Students will explore various traditional dances of Latin America. High school age students will learn dancing techniques and rehearse together to recruit and build the Ballet Folklorico program and increase cultural awareness. The high school students will share their knowledge with younger children in the community during the second and third weeks of the program. Together, they will prepare for a final performance on July 13th.

  • Dates: July 2-5 or July 9-12, 2018 (two different sessions)

Drama Club, K-6th grade

Students will increase cultural awareness and public speaking skills through exploration of storytelling and roleplaying. The class will conclude with a final performance on June 28th.

Found Art Camp, K-6th grade

Students Found art involves creating pieces from “found” objects that are repurposed to create unique and beautiful works of art. Elementary students will explore the world of art through mixed media including finding new purposes for discarded items in creating various types of artwork. Students will develop their creative skills while gaining a new appreciation for their surrounding environment. The students will display their works of art at the theatre, dance, and music community performances July 12 - July 14.

  • Dates: June 11-14
  • Monday - Thursday
  • Time: K-3rd, 8:15-9:45 a.m.
  • Time: 4th-6th, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
  • Location: New Bridge Elementary

GuitarGuitar Camp, 4th-9th grade

Students will explore various styles of music, learn basic music notation, and discover their inner musician through improvisation and ensemble techniques. The camp will conclude with a final performance on July 13th. No experience is necessary and guitars will be provided.

  • Dates: June 19 - July 12 (no classes the week of July 2-5)
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Time: 4th-6th, 9:00-10:00 a.m.
  • Time: 7th-9th, 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Parkour Dance Camp, K-9th grade

Students will learn parkour vaults and jumps, tricks and urban dance movement. The camp will conclude with a final performance on July 13th.

  • Time: K-4th, 9:00-10:00 a.m. (this session is full)
  • Time: 5th-9th, 10:00-11:30 a.m. (this session is full)

Academic Credit Recovery, 9th-12th grade

Summer Food Service Program

The Ogden School District Child Nutrition Program will provide meals at no cost to individuals 18 years old and younger from June 4 – July 20 at the following times and locations.

Lunch will be served Monday – Friday from 11:30 - 12:15 Monday through Friday at the following locations:
